THE ROLE OF THE SHOWRUNNER
The Oslo Showrunner Summit has been designed to be a Forum for discussion addressing the role of the showrunner and changing writing models emerging across the Scripted industry.
Visiting experts will share their multi-faceted experience and knowledge of creative processes and techniques, in addition different writers’ room models will be discussed along with successful management strategies for creative teams.
Howard Gordon is an Award Winning television Creator and Showrunner who as a writer, producer and author includes credits in some of TV’s most iconic series. Gordon co-created the breakout series Homeland, which is one of the biggest hits in the global market place with numerous wins and nominations from Prime time Emmys, Golden Globes, WGA and the Producers Guild. A twenty-five year industry veteran, Gordon first gained national attention for his award-winning work on Fox’s ground breaking series The X-Files, for which he won multiple Golden Globes.
His contribution to the original 24 garnered equally wide local and international recognition including an Emmy for Primetime Drama. Other credits include Tyrant, Legends, Angel, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Beauty and the Beast, Sisters and Spenser: For Hire. He created the innovative 1999 drama Strange World, and the Fox series, The Inside.
